This presentation consists of the opening remarks at the UK Manufacturing Summit. The purpose of the Summit was to shape the debate between industry and government. The 2012 Summit tackled the important issues surrounding an industry that government is calling on to rescue the economy through wealth creation and export, thus making UK manufacturing internationally competitive.
